Research forms the core of the Top Employers project. Through objective, fact-based research, we determine whether an organisation meets the requirements to be certified as a Top Employer. To qualify as a Top Employer in Europe, a multinational organisation must be certified as a Top Employer in at least five European countries.

In the research, all critical areas of the HR Management of the participating organisations are assessed. Key drivers, practices and policies for criteria such as Pay & Benefits, Training & Development, Career Opportunities, Working Conditions and Company Culture are reviewed thoroughly.

The Top Employers methodology was awarded with full marks on credibility by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. According to its analysis, the project is completely trustworthy in its judgments, certifying only the Top Employers that meet the standards of excellence in HR policies.
